Business History: Peotone Bank & Trust was previously located at the corner of Main and Railroad. In June of 1962 it moved to its current location on Corning in Peotone. This facility also houses the Investment Center where securities and insurance products are offered through Lensco/Private Ledger, Member NASD/SIPC. The bank has several employees that have been with them for over 45 years. Peotone Bank and Trust also has a branch in Monee located at 25510 S. Governors Highway. They will be celebrating their 90th Anniversary in October.

Secret to their success: Provide customer service with a personal touch.

Memorable moment in company’s history: When the bank had to move the “cannonball” safe from the location on Main Street to Corning in 1962, the Chief of Police guarded the move with a Tommy Gun.

Other: The Monee location will be moving to Monee/Manhattan Rd & Egyptian Trail where it will be able to provide better service for its growing customer base. A Manhattan location is being planned in the near future.
