Brief history of business: The Subway sandwich shop has been in Peotone for 4 years. It’s previous owners were Chuck & Danni Schultz, until September of 2004, when Adam Baumgartner took over ownership. Adam also has a Subway in Beecher, and is currently planning to open up a Joliet store in the near future.

Memorable moments in company’s history: In the spring of ’06, Adam created an enjoyable outside patio environment with his very own touch, (thanks to his landscaping business, Baumgartner’s Unlimited). It’s a real bonus for customers who like to enjoy their meals in a comfortable outdoor picnic area, located on the south side of the Subway shop.

Best business advice received and/or given: Always ensure customer satisfaction. If the customer is not happy, then we are not happy!

Secret to our success: Having the motivation and ambition which create an easy flow for success.

Other: In addition to the Subways, Adam also owns his own landscaping business, Baumgartner’s Unlimited, and an office furniture venture known as “V I C”, Vertical Integrated Company. He is also the head organizer for the Blue Demons football team, a junior football league for the Peotone youth. Adam serves on the Board of Education and is a director on the Board for the Peotone Chamber of Commerce.
