In the first ever Peotone Idle Talent Show (The contest for kids with too much time on their hands), many talented performers took the stage and wowed the audience. Our apologies for not having photos of the 14 and up age group. Winners in that group were: Sarah Lohrbach and Philip Riegle (3rd place), Elenor Lape (2nd place) and Heather Nowakowski (1st place)

Antique tractor pull. Kelly Ginder gives it her best shot in the Antique Tractor Pull. Family Traditions being passed on – Bill Heintz and grandson John Ruckman proudly display their John Deere. The Chamber’s Citizen of the Year – John Stankus was chosen for his 30 plus years of dedicated service to the Peotone Boy Scouts. Chamber President Marty Schmidt presents Grand Marshall Jean Johnson with a lovely bouquet of flowers.
Emcee Mike Perrine is joined by Parade Chairman Glenn Ginder and his daughter Kelly. Representatives of the Peotone Girl Scouts lead the parade. Teen Jam Night attracted more than just the under 18 crowd! Fireworks and Carnival lights lit up the night sky on Saturday.

Ain’t No Mountain Cloggers spun, stomped and tapped to the delight of the audience. Many of Peotone’s churches participated in the Ecumenical Church Service on Sunday morning, contributing great music, uplifting messages and a spirit of community for all who attended.
